We are exclusively partnered with a Manchester based Regeneration company in their search for a Management Accountant to join them on a 9-month fixed term contract basis.

This role would suit someone who is analytical and focused, and you would be owning the month-end process for 3 - 4 of their entities, joining a business that's expanding with a great culture.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the month end close process, ensuring timely delivery of management reporting.
  • Preparing multiple entity monthly management accounts with commentary.
  • Completion and submission of VAT returns.
  • Monthly cash flow forecasting.
  • Business partnering with Development Managers, providing financial support on appraisals, work in progress reporting, forecasting and budget cost control.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Supporting the year end process, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing supporting schedules for audit, for multiple entities.
  • Identification and recommendation of any operational efficiencies and supporting systems improvements.
  • Working on ad hoc projects.
  • The ideal candidate will:
  • Have experience working as a Management Accountant and assisting in the preparation of management accounts
  • Be able to evaluate financial information and objectively interpret data to establish the key facts and use this insight to shape decision making.
  • Be either qualified (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) or working towards a qualification.
  • Have strong Excel experience. Sage experience a plus.
  • Be positive, self-motivated and happy to work both independently and as part of a small finance team.

    This is an urgent role, and we require someone who can either start immediately or with a short notice period.
