Management Accountant- qualified or strong QBE

Salary: circa £48,000- £52,000
A well-established and growing business within the manufacturing sector is looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a varied and hands on role that will support the preparation of monthly management accounts, project reporting and financial analysis across the business.
This opportunity would suit a commercially minded accountant with strong management accounts and analytical experience who enjoys partnering with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary
- Month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Costing and variance analysis
- Weekly revenue recognition reporting
- Cashflow analysis and cash book reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Supporting annual audits
- Project margin and profitability analysis
- VAT returns and budgeting support
- Supporting project cost tracking and project closure processes
About You:
- ACCA/ CIMA qualified or very strong QBE experience
- Previous experience within a similar Management Accountant role
- Background within manufacturing, engineering or construction preferred
- Strong ERP systems knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Hands-on and adaptable approach
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
