The Role:

The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment from set-up, through to solution design, branding and testing ensuring high quality standards throughout the hiring process.

Entrusted with an ongoing quest to discover talent, build a strong employment brand and ensure great relationships with both candidates and employees. Management of apprentice and graduate recruitment programmes and building relationships with academic establishments to source future talent.

Duties/Responsibilities

CUSTOMER

  • Attraction and retention of staff by being an ambassador for the brand
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience through high quality, well documented processes, and engagement (briefing, solutions, communication and reporting)
  • Be actively involved in ensuring a social media presence of the brand, including development of the people section of the Company's website.
  • Network across the civil engineering, utilities, and construction industry to enhance the brand and reputation in the marketplace.
  • Own the candidate experience at all stages of the recruitment process, including maintaining regular contact between offer and commencement.
  • Develop a complete understanding of business objectives to effectively shape and plan recruitment requirements.
  • Advising on a broad range of talent acquisition initiatives such as pipelining, diversity and manpower planning.

PEOPLE

  • Facilitate a centralised recruitment service to the business promoting fairness, inclusion and respect
  • Manage all hiring needs and build ongoing pipeline of suitable candidates aligned to the organisation's values and culture.
  • Ensure all candidates are logged and processed through the Sage HR system
  • Support large scale recruitment events such as job fairs, direct hire events and other community events
  • Manage apprentice and graduate recruitment and talent pipelines, including the planning and co-ordination of assessment days
  • Participate in the induction of new starters
  • Encourage employees to be brand ambassadors

  • Introduce new and innovative strategies for attracting top talent, focusing on pipeline and development for key hiring positions
  • Appropriately manage available time, addressing internal and external demand, organising against priorities, ensuring ownership of all assigned actions
  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities in addressing feedback to ensure lessons are learnt and adjustments made to the approach taken across all activities
  • Build and maintain cohesive relationships with all employees across the group

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Desirable 5 Years experience or significant experience within a similar role
  • Experience of full life cycle talent acquisition
  • Significant direct recruitment experience across all levels, including candidates working on site or in the field.
  • Experienced of talent pipelines
  • Good working knowledge of the recruitment industry
  • Proficient use of social media and job boards
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and databases
  • Able to persuade and influence others using logic and reason
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to influence a variety of audiences
