A leading privately owned importer and wholesaler are looking for a proven commercially minded Head of Finance to lead the finance function, provide financial leadership, and support the continued growth and profitability of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational finance expertise combined with commercial acumen and the ability to influence business decisions at Board level. Key focuses will include:
- Lead, manage and develop the finance team, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Provide strategic financial insight and support to the leadership team
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles
- Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts and board reporting packs
- Deliver meaningful commercial reporting and analysis to support decision-making
- Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
- Optimise working capital
- Support the ongoing development and optimisation of finance systems
- Ensure robust financial controls, policies and procedures are maintained across the organisation
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team and wider business
