Graduate Accountant

Location: Manchester
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 Bonus Excellent Benefits

Are you a recent graduate or an early career finance professional looking for a role that will fast track your development?

We're recruiting for a Graduate Accountant to join a successful and growing financial services business based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong academic background, who wants to gain broad exposure across treasury, finance operations and financial reporting.

Working alongside an experienced finance team, you'll develop a well rounded skillset while taking on meaningful responsibility from day one, in a collaborative and ambitious environment.

You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day treasury function while assisting the wider finance team with accounting and reporting activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting daily cash management, bank reconciliations and payment processing.
• Monitoring cash flow and assisting with treasury reporting and forecasting.
• Supporting month-end processes, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Processing purchase invoices, employee expenses and supplier payments.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements.
• Assisting with management reporting and continuous improvement projects.

We're looking for an ambitious, motivated individual who is keen to build a long term career in finance.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Previous internship, placement year or work experience within a finance, accounting or treasury environment
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A proactive attitude and genuine desire to learn.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Candidates currently studying, or looking to study, AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualifications are encouraged to apply.
