
Are you an experienced HR Manager looking to make a real impact in a growing business? My client is looking for a creative and dedicated HR Manager to lead their people strategy. In this role you will work closely with key stakeholders to drive a positive and high-performing workplace culture whilst ensuring compliance with employment legislation and safeguarding standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures in line with current employment law and best practice
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, ensuring safer recruitment standards are met
- Oversee employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, and conflict resolution processes
- Lead performance management systems to drive high performance and staff development
- Support managers with HR advice, guidance, and administration
- Monitor staff wellbeing and promote an inclusive, positive workplace culture
- Manage HR systems and ensure data protection (GDPR) compliance
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure accuracy in line with company policies
- Track staff turnover, absence, and retention, providing insights and improvement plans
- Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and budgets
- Represent the company at meetings, recruitment events, and within the local community
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience in managing employee relations and complex casework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Be highly organised with strong time management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience within Early Years or education settings (this would be desirable)
