Our client is a globally recognised aerospace engineering business, operating within a complex, highly regulated manufacturing environment. They are now looking to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant following an internal promotion.
This role supports the Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong controls, and ensuring compliance with group and statutory requirements. It offers broad exposure across financial accounting, reporting and core finance operations within an established finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close, including management accounts, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs in line with group requirements
- Support statutory accounts, tax compliance and external audit processes
- Oversee key finance processes including P2P workflows, invoicing and cash management
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support the wider business
- Manage and support a Trainee Accountant
- Maintain control of inventory, fixed assets and balance sheet integrity
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting requirements
Experience Required
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
- Strong technical accounting background, ideally within manufacturing or a complex environment
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communicator, comfortable working with finance and non-finance stakeholders
