Temporary Credit Controller- 3 months
Location: Skelmersdale

Salary: up to circa £29,000

We are looking for a Temporary Credit Controller to join our clients finance team based in Skelmersdale, on a 3 month contract. This role will provide valuable, hands-on experience within a busy role, supporting the management of the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of customer payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the sales ledger
  • Issue invoices and statements to customers
  • Contact clients regarding outstanding payments via phone and email
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve queries promptly
  • Support cash allocation and banking processes
  • Produce simple debtor reports and highlight potential issues
  • Work with operations and finance teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies
  • Provide general support to the wider finance team when required

Skills & Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar credit control role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Competent with IT systems (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn within a finance environment
  • Reliable team player with a proactive approach
