
Temporary Credit Controller- 3 months
Location: Skelmersdale
Salary: up to circa £29,000
We are looking for a Temporary Credit Controller to join our clients finance team based in Skelmersdale, on a 3 month contract. This role will provide valuable, hands-on experience within a busy role, supporting the management of the sales ledger and ensuring timely collection of customer payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the sales ledger
- Issue invoices and statements to customers
- Contact clients regarding outstanding payments via phone and email
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve queries promptly
- Support cash allocation and banking processes
- Produce simple debtor reports and highlight potential issues
- Work with operations and finance teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies
- Provide general support to the wider finance team when required
Skills & Attributes:
- Previous experience in a similar credit control role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Competent with IT systems (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Enthusiastic, organised, and eager to learn within a finance environment
- Reliable team player with a proactive approach
