
Role:
Reporting to our Group Finance Director, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements, providing technical expertise to support the wider finance function and leading the month end consolidation process, ensuring timely delivery of group financial results.

You'll be joining a high performing team which manages the financial reporting, controls and strategy for the group. The team works closely with our technical team, as well as leaders and stakeholders across the various divisions, to support and provide information for commercial insights.
Key Duties:
- Group Consolidation: Lead the month-end consolidation process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of group financial results. Support the production of month-end financial reporting to Board and senior management, including group level commentary to the financial results.
- Audit Management: Manage day-to-day audit activities, acting as a primary liaison with external auditors and internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to agreed audit timetable.
- Technical Accounting: Prepare technical accounting papers to support complex transactions and accounting judgements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Statutory Accounts: Oversee the in-house production of statutory accounts, coordinating with divisional finance teams to ensure consistency, accuracy and quality.
- Accounting policy: Ownership of the group's accounting policy, ensuring maintenance of an up-to-date accounting policy manual.
- Tax Compliance: Review corporation tax returns and collate supporting information to facilitate timely and accurate submissions. Act as a primary liaison with the group's external tax advisors.
- Transfer Pricing: Maintain transfer pricing documentation in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Company Secretarial Duties: Day-to-day management of company secretarial responsibilities, including statutory filings and governance obligations.
- Project Work: Contribute to ad hoc projects, providing financial expertise and ensuring alignment with the group's objectives.
Experience Required:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA qualification)
- Strong current technical knowledge of FRS102 and tax regulations
- Hands-on experience regarding complex group consolidations, financial reporting, statutory audits and tax compliance (ideally financial services, however not essential)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and systems, including Excel and accounting packages (ideally Oracle Netsuite, but not essential)
- High level of attention to detail and practical problem-solving competence
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong management/coaching skills
