
Office Manager - Construction Sector (6 Month FTC)
Location: North Manchester (Fully Office Based)
Salary: £30 - 35k FTE
Hours: Full-Time // 6 month FTC (potential of permanent role)
A well-established North Manchester construction business is seeking an experienced and driven Office Manager to take full operational responsibility for its Plant Division on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a construction or plant environment and is confident stepping into a department, taking ownership, and driving improvements. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening processes, embedding systems, and bringing structure and clarity to plant operations.
The Role
You will take full control of the Plant Division's office function and team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while identifying and implementing improvements across processes, systems, and commercial controls.
The business has recently implemented a new ERP system (Coins), centralising operations, and this role will support adoption and optimisation across the division.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Plant Division office team
Oversee plant administration, coordination, and reporting
Drive process improvement and operational efficiencies
Support and embed ERP system usage (Coins)
Ensure strong commercial awareness across plant operations
Maintain accurate records, cost tracking, and documentation
Encourage engagement and bring the team on board with change initiatives
About You
Essential: Background in construction, engineering, or plant
Strong people skills - able to influence, engage, and motivate
Excellent organisational and computer skills
Commercially aware with the ability to manage costs and performance
Resilient, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
Experience with Coins ERP (desirable but not essential)
A hands-on approach with the drive to "get stuck in" and make improvements
