
Role:
The Finance Manager is responsible for assisting in the effective and efficient running of the Group finance department, personally delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Working closely with the Head of Finance and other members of the senior leadership team the FM will ensure that the finance department delivers outstanding performance and excellent customer service at all times.
Responsibilities & duties:
Finance & Administration
- Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow. Assist in the cash forecasting process, ensuring the timely preparation of monthly and yearly cash forecasts.
- Maintaining and processing of monthly payroll, by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.
- Assisting in the preparation of Statutory Account for the Auditors on an annual basis in an accurate and timely manner
- Assisting in the preparation of the management accounts on a monthly basis in an accurate and timely manner
- Assisting in the preparation board reports on a three-monthly basis in an accurate and timely manner
- Reporting on all aspects of the current stock holding and purchasing
- Ensuring timely and accurate payments and reporting of all aspects of Taxation
- Ensure accurate reporting of bank accounts, purchase ledger and sales ledger.
- Ensure accurate administration of stock quantities and values.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely fashion having regard to reporting deadlines.
- Adhere to all procedures as described in the procedures manual.
- Report on office performance to the Head of Finance at a monthly meeting.
- Other duties as required from time to time.
Managing Staff
- Organizing efficient daily operations.
- Assistance in motivation and training of finance department staff.
- Enable staff to provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers
- Maintain a good relationship with suppliers to maximize service levels
- Monitor and react to feedback from Sales Managers or Branch Area Managers
Experience Required:
The successful candidate will have held a similar role in an SME environment. Whilst a relevant qualification is desirable candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. The company will be flexible in terms of its hybrid offering but a reasonable amount of time needs to be spent in the office.
