Salary: £21,000-£23,000

We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join one of our clients based in Manchester. This role will require the relevant individual to process invoices, complete bank reconciliations, and help produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a results driven individual to progress their career and gain exposure to well-known corporations in a dynamic transactional role. The business turned over an impressive £40 million in the last 12 months and is looking to continue to grow with ambitious future plans.

No qualifications are required for this role, being highly focused on excellent work ethic, attention to detail and possessing the ability to efficiently prioritise workload. An ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years in a similar role and will have a proactive approach to their work.

Working in a team of 6, the ideal candidate will be given the opportunity to progress internally and will be given more exposure to a wider range of duties depending on their performance and adaptability to the role.

As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will:

  • Sort supplier invoices/delivery notes
  • Match Supplier Invoices
  • Posting Supplier Invoices to the Finance System
  • Investigate and analyse queries with the goods and purchasing teams
  • Reconcile, create, and authorise supplier statements
  • Taking credit card payments; from customers and posting to accounts
  • Help produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Skills:

  • Strong analytic and numerical skills to deal with large volumes of data
  • Able to prioritise workload and demonstrate flexibility
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident and independent with an enthusiastic can-do approach
  • Team player
