Management Accountant

Location: remote working role- must be North West based and a commutable distance to Cheadle

Salary: up to circa £35,000 plus an excellent benefits package, including study support, remote & flexible working hours, volunteering leave, health and wellness benefits and much more!

We are currently recruiting for a confident and ambitious Management Accountant to an expanding finance team on a permanent basis.

The company have fully embraced home/hybrid working and therefore it is predominantly remote working however, they do have the offices available for those who wish to work from there, and the finance team do have bi weekly working days together in the office.

As the Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Finance Management team in achieving financial targets, forecasts, and budgets by gathering and recording financial information to auditable standards for both internal and external use.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Timely and accurate recording of financial transactions within the Finance System and aiding in the preparation of financial reports and data to facilitate informed decision-making processes
  • Contribute to Treasury Management by preparing bank reconciliations, forecasting, monitoring cash targets, and providing daily and weekly cash reporting
  • Manage Sales and Purchase Ledgers, conduct payroll reviews, analyse payroll data, and prepare Commission and Bonus payments, including journal postings.
  • Responsible for month-end analysis, reporting, and journal postings
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and analysis.
  • Oversee expense management and processing
  • Handle Product and License Gross Margin reporting
  • Manage audit requests efficiently

The ideal candidate for this role will be a part-qualified/ or working towards, Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with a background in a dynamic finance environment. The role would suit an ambitious Accounts Assistant who has some month end and management accounts exposure and would like to progress further, or a management accountant who is keen to join a growing business where they can continue with their development. You should possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills and have experience with financial systems. You will need experience and an ability to report to various finance stakeholders, strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
