Financial Controller

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: BoltonSalary: £80000 - £100000 per annum

I am currently recruiting a Financial Controller for a well known fast growing manufacturing business based in Bolton. This role will be a succession plan for the current FC, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a great mentor. This role reports directly into the Managing Director and will take a lead on all financial accounting activity for the business including leading a finance team of 10. Key areas you will be oversee include:

  • Responsible for all statutory audit, statutory accounts and year end tax production
  • Reviewing monthly management accounts, leading on month close within SAP ensuring reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Responsible for overseeing finance team of 10 including qualified and transactional staff
  • Fixed asset control and reporting, all statutory reporting to companies house
  • Building effective relationships with the board, participating in senior management team meetings
  • Overseeing purchase ledger, credit control, bank and cash processes and teams and ensuring their continuous training & development
  • Working with the Managing Director on business growth from a finance perspective, ensuring processes and procedures adhered to
  • Continuously seeking out, managing and influencing opportunities for continuous improvement and change through the finance department and wider business

I am looking for a Qualified Accountant who has held a similar role ideally in manufacturing, someone who has a strong technical finance background who can demonstrate a proven track record in improving processes and systems which the company will need as they continue to grow.
