Financial Controller- 12 month FTC

Financial Controller- 12 month FTC- Qualified or QBE

Location: East Manchester

Salary: up to circa £60,000

I am currently recruiting a Financial Controller for an award-winning manufacturer, based just outside the city centre. Covering a period of maternity leave, my client is looking for someone for 12 months, this could get extended. Reporting into the Finance Director you will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for producing monthly management accounts for all companies within the group
  • Present monthly management accounts and communicate financial performance to the Directors
  • Oversee the Company's short term cash flow and prepare medium and long term forecasts
  • Maintain a system of rolling forecasts to predict profitability, net worth and cashflow
  • Assist in building a finance strategy and long term business plan in preparation for the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Maintain and develop a system of KPI reporting to include both financial and non financial measures
  • Liaise with external advisers including auditors, lawyers, bankers and HR as required
  • Oversee management of accounts team staff day to day and review PDR development
  • Book and maintain FX contracts
  • Support the Company secretarial duties carried out by external accountants, including statutory books, board meetings, statutory returns

Suitable candidates must have previously held a Finance Manager/Financial Controller role, be able to start mid/end of April and have experience of managing a small team.
