Operations Accountant
Based: Chorley
Salary: up to £40k dependent on experience + excellent benefits and opportunities


Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Chorley. Due to a recent restructure a new opportunity has presented itself in the commercial finance team. Reporting into the Commercial Financial Controller you will take responsibility of identifying cost savings, variance analysis and pulling together numerous reports for the Directors
We are looking for someone part qualified, looking to progress within a fantastic company as this is a really exciting opportunity!


Role:
· Month end reporting for the main operation site and other subsidiary's;
o Identification of cost savings opportunities
o Working with departmental managers to compare actual spends to targets
o Accruals and prepayments
· Month end variance analysis on all the production elements including material usage, material price, overhead recovery, subcontract and freight
· Standard Costings - end to end process
· Weekly Stock Reports to track and monitor trends, and report on slow moving stock
· Budget Process
· Any other reasonable tasks as requested by manager

Experience:

  • Part Qualified of QBE
  • Commercial experience desirable. Manufacturing experience desirable but not essential
  • Ability to analyse complex information and propose recommendations - confident in your ability
  • Advanced Excel skills
