Commercial Finance Manager

Commercial Finance Manager

Based: Horwich

Salary: up to £60k dependent on experience, excellent benefits nd opportunities to progress

Currently WFH set up with a hybrid week in the future split office/home working. 37.5 hours a week flexible to suit you start/finish time

Our client is a well-known, leading retail business who have experienced rapid growth for the last 10 years. Diversifying into numerous new markets, they are a market leader in their industry with plans to continue offering further products and services across all their divisions. We are currently looking for a hands on, experienced Finance Manager to join the team, this role will look after 3 direct report and full management accounts for their 2nd largest business division with operations spanning UK0-wide.

  • Producing monthly management accounts and reports
  • Liaising with senior stakeholders across the UK, challenging results and working with the UK MD to drive business performance
  • Liaising with internal teams including commercial finance to pull together weekly P&L forecasts and rolling monthly forecasts
  • Analysing week on week forecast variances and weekly actual to budget variances
  • Analysing variances between weekly forecast and actual numbers at month end, working with others to improve P&L performance
  • Producing annual budgets and three year forecasts in partnership with commercial teams
  • Introducing KPI reporting on month-end and balance sheet metrics
  • Timely close of month end ledgers
  • Cash management through forecasting, management of debtors and creditors and liaising with Treasury
  • Provision of key reports to the management of the business
  • Working with TAX to ensure all VAT, PAYE, corporation tax and other tax obligations are met
  • Responsible for driving finance transformation and improving processes/systems

Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with PQE
  • Strong management skills, proven experience developing a team and driving performances
  • Strong communication skills - able to business partner effectively
  • Adaptable - able to continuously improve processes and spot opportunities for improvement
  • Dynamics experience would be highly beneficial but not essential
