Finance Manager - Reporting

Finance Manager (Reporting)

Based: Bury area

Salary: up to £55k + excellent benefits package and opportunity to progress in a growing business.

12 month FTC with excellent opportunities for permanent in a rapidly expanding organisation

Our client is a leading, international retailer based in North Manchester. Established over 50 years ago, the business has stuck to its roots with their Head Office still in the UK but has embarked on European/global expansion with a large number of acquisitions over the last 8 years. With further plans for the business over the next 12 months, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the business looking after finances for a large division of the global group.

This position will sit within the International finance team where you will be responsible for supporting all finance duties for a large region

Role:

  • Producing monthly P&L's and balance sheet, understanding variances and trends
  • Producing monthly reporting packs with analysis and commentary, presenting to Head of Finance
  • Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliation with sign off monthls/quarterly
  • Producing balance sheet and cashflow pack with KPI summary
  • Continuing to review pricewsses including purchase ledger, banking and receivables ensuring controls in place and up to date
  • Producing reports to feed into the monthly Group Board Pack
  • Half year and year end statutory reporting including national statistics and intra stat
  • Accounting for distribution - cashflow management and managing intercompany relationships
  • Planning, managing and completing year end audits
  • Producing annual statutory accounts in line with local GAAP requirements including annual management report
  • Responsible for annual filing of company accounts
  • Main POC for all VAT & Tax submissions, queries and audits

Experience:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant with PQE experience
  • Management accounts and core finance experience essential
  • Strong technical experience in statutory accounts, VAT, tax & Audit
  • Adaptable to change, able to manage a large entity for finance to tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
