HR Officer - PART TIME

I am currently recruiting for a HR Officer to join a well-established HR team based in Wigan. This is is permanent, part time role. The salary is £25,000-£28,000 (pro rata). The role is a generalist HR position where you will work as part of a wider team on the following areas:

  • Liaising with other departments and managers in the company and facilitating the development of HR skills.
  • Assist and support managers through all stages of employment matters including assisting with investigations, attending hearings, note taking, analysing complex information and advising in line with legislation and best practise.
  • Being proactive in supporting managers in a consistent approach to the handling of sickness absence through the application of the sickness absence policy and procedure, reducing levels of sickness absence.
  • Developing HR practices and updating documentation including flow charts and policies.
  • Supporting with the recruitment process and ensuring potential employees have had the relevant safety checks.

The successful candidate for this role will have some previous relevant experience, with a positive and professional approach to work and the ability to use their own initiative.
