We're working with a business based near Parbold who are looking for a Part-Time Finance Assistant to work alongside their Financial Controller, four or five days a week - whatever works best for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile Sage 200 cashbook efficiently and accurately.
  • Align bank statements with the bespoke system, identifying any discrepancies.
  • Question and investigate variances, seeking necessary approvals before making adjustments.
  • Provide support for month-end and year-end functions, assisting with tasks such as purchase ledger and journals as needed.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Sage 200 is crucial (Sage 50 experts will also be considered if proficient in all aspects).
  • Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook Skills
  • Exceptional reconciliation abilities coupled with a high level of numerical proficiency.
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
  • A proactive and process-driven mindset to streamline operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments, resolving queries efficiently.
