We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join one of our clients based in Manchester. This role will require the relevant individual to be all-rounded in terms of completing product codes, processing sales orders and invoices, bank reconciliations and managing company accounts.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a results driven individual to progress their career and gain exposure to well-known international corporations in a transactional role. The business turned over an impressive £30 million in the last 12 months, and is looking to continue to grow with ambitious future plans.

No qualifications are required for this role, being highly focused on excellent work ethic, attention to detail and the willingness to persevere. An ideal candidate will have at least 3 years in a similar role and will have a proactive approach to their work.

As the Accounts Assistant:

  • You will be experienced in all aspects of Sales Ledger, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Ledger & be able to work on own initiative.
  • You will be responsible for Credit Control & expected to cover other members of the accounts team during holidays.
  • The candidate must be willing to carry out other ad hoc tasks from time to time.
  • Familiarity with accounting software that includes Microsoft Navision would be a huge advantage.
  • A solid background in a 'Sales Order Processing' environment for a number of years will be required in order to fit in within our dynamic team.
  • You will be responsible for bank reconciliations, as well as managing certain accounts of the company.
  • If you do not possess any experience in 'Sales Ledger' or 'Sales Order Processing', please do not apply for the position.

Skills:

  • Strong analytic and numerical skills to deal with volumes of data
  • Able to prioritise workload and demonstrate flexibility
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident and independent with an enthusiastic can-do approach
  • Team player
