Are you looking for an opportunity to grow quickly to Finance Director, working in an expanding SME with the chance to build your own team, advise the board and add value?

Our client is a leading hospitality/leisure business based in the heart of Rossendale. With various, hugely successful sites across the North West, they have plans to continue growing with another new site to open before the end of 2021. To complement their senior management team, we are now looking for a forward-thinking, dynamic, driven Financial Controller looking for an exciting role where they will have the opportunity to implement new systems, processes, advise the Directors from a financial point of view and also create/grow their own finance team as the function is brought in house. This role will business partner extensively with the wider business and management teams across all sites, challenging results and seeking ways to improve performane

A really exciting opportunity for a qualified Accountant looking for a diverse role

Role:

  • Working with the Managing Director and senior management team to continue growth of the business
  • Advising the board on best way to grow the business and run the group companies from a finance perspective
  • Implement a new system, finance processes and recruit a finance team from the outset
  • Managing finances for 5 different North West based sites, ensuring finances in place for new site openings
  • Financial reporting and analysis on pricing, margins, product range to ensure maximum profitability
  • Producing weekly management accounts for the Directors
  • Forecasting and budgeting for the group
  • Balance sheet control and financial reports for the Directors
  • Developing departmental/site KPI's and streamlining management accounts processes
  • Cashflow, revenue forecasting and preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Nominal ledger - journals, accruals, prepayments
  • Supervision of payroll, transactional finance and HMRC matters

Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with a desire to progress
  • Forward thinking, able to advise Directors on processes and growth
  • Experience implementing a new system/finance function highly beneficial
  • Experience from within leisure, hospitality or retail highly desirable
