The Financial Controller is a senior-level role reporting into the Finance Director or Chief Financial Officer. Ultimately, they are responsible for the smooth running of the accounting operations within a business. 

They manage all of the company’s financial transactions including, accounts payable, receivable payroll and control accounts. 

As a senior-level position, a Financial Controller can be expected to present, recommend and advise other members of the senior leadership team and board members on financial matters.

Entry-level Financial Controller with <1 year of experience: Circa £35k (including bonus & commission) 

Finance Controller with 1-4 years of experience: Potential of approximately £41k

Financial Controller with 5-9 years of experience: £50k

Financial Controller with 10+ years of experience: £53k+
