I am currently supporting a client of mine based in the Stretford area of Manchester with their search for a Senior HR Advisor. This is a true generalist role suitable for a proactive and commercially focussed HR professional. In this role you will build on the experience you already have, forming strong relationships with Managers and contributing to a positive, consistent and supportive employee experience.

Below is an overview of the responsibilities in more detail:

• Managing employee relations cases: Take ownership of cases involving absence, conduct, capability, probation and flexible working, guiding them from initial assessment through to resolution
• Coaching and supporting managers: Provide practical advice on policies, procedures and best practice, helping managers handle difficult conversations and people challenges with confidence
• Supporting investigations and hearings: Assist with, and where appropriate lead, investigations, disciplinary and grievance hearings, preparing documentation, taking notes and drafting outcome letters
• Keeping things organised: Maintain accurate, confidential and audit-ready case records, coordinate meetings and occupational health referrals, and manage case correspondence
• Identifying opportunities to improve: Monitor employee relations trends, highlight recurring issues and recommend proactive solutions to improve processes and outcomes
• Supporting with the delivery of a variety of HR projects - including driving a variety of engagement initiatives across the business

My client are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and confident in handling sensitive people matters, with the judgement to know when to take action and when to escalate. Previous experience working at a similar level is essential for this role - whilst this is a true generalist role strong ER experience is a must.
