We are partnering exclusively with our client in their search for a Group Head of People. This is a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional senior HR generalist who will strategically partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to help shape the future of the business.

My client is looking for someone who looks ahead, challenges constructively and turns people strategy into commercial results. You'll work across the group to create a people strategy that respects what makes each business unique, while building the structure, capability and talent pipeline needed for the future.

Below is an overview of some of the key areas of responsibility:

  • Building the future leadership pipeline - identifying critical roles and developing succession plans; turning potential into capability through meaningful development, apprenticeships and career opportunities
  • Shaping organisational structures, defining responsibilities and establishing clear reporting lines
  • Developing confident and capable leaders - acting as a trusted partner and coach to the CEO, Managing Directors and senior leadership teams; supporting newly promoted leaders, guiding difficult conversations and helping people grow into their responsibilities with confidence
  • Providing comprehensive advice to the business on all people issues, informing the Board of legislative changes and their impact on the business
  • Attracting and retaining exceptional talent - leading recruitment and talent management across the Group, building consistent approaches to selection, onboarding and development; strengthening the employer proposition and helping the business to become better at finding, developing and keeping great people
  • Using data, insight and sound judgement to identify risks, improve performance and inform decisions

In this role you will move beyond reactive HR and create a forward-looking approach that anticipates challenges, supports managers and gives the CEO and Board clear visibility of people, capability and risk.

This is an ideal role for an experienced senior HR generalist with an impressive track record in designing and delivering organisational change and coaching senior leaders through complex situations. A strong commercial awareness along with excellent employment law knowledge are also essential for this role. If you have worked in a manufacturing environment this would be beneficial.

Please note my client has sites in Skelmersdale and Rochdale - this role can be based out of either of those locations but you must be able to get to both sites on a weekly basis.

If this role sounds like something you would be interested to explore further please send your CV for immediate consideration. Please note shortlisting for this role will start week commencing 2nd November.
