
Credit Controller - Part Time 3 days/ 22.5 hours
Location: Manchester- hybrid working
Salary: up to circa £28,000 FTC
We're currently recruiting on behalf of a growing and well-established fintech business for a Credit Controller to join their finance team on a flexible, part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller or Accounts Receivable professional who enjoys working independently, building strong customer relationships and taking ownership of outstanding accounts.
You'll play an important role in managing the company's accounts receivable function, ensuring payments are received on time while providing a professional and helpful service to customers.
You'll also act as a key point of contact for invoice and payment queries, working closely with internal teams to resolve disputes and keep accounts up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable, including issuing statements and payment reminders
- Monitor overdue accounts and proactively follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
- Produce regular credit control and aged debtor reports
- Identify at-risk accounts and recommend appropriate actions
- Support month-end and financial close activities relating to receivables
- Communicate confidently with customers by phone and email
- Negotiate payment plans and conduct professional follow-up calls
- Handle invoice and payment queries promptly and professionally
- Work closely with Sales, Implementation and Customer Success teams to resolve invoice-related queries and disputes
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance/AR role
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident managing a varied workload and prioritising effectively
- A strong communicator with good negotiation skills
- Comfortable dealing with customers across medium to large organisations
- Confident using accounting software or ERP systems, or willing to learn
- Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with wider teams
- Professional, persistent and solutions-focused
- Reliable, hardworking and well organised
