Accounts Payable Analyst

Location: Eccles- with hybrid working

Salary: up to circa £32,000

We are working with a well-established, international organisation with a strong UK presence, currently looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Analyst to join their finance team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware, analytically strong finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency across the function. You'll take ownership of complex supplier reconciliations, proactively resolve queries and support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing high-volume, complex supplier reconciliations accurately and on time
  • Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies, payment queries and aged items
  • Managing and maintaining Direct Debit arrangements
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for supplier queries
  • Supporting month-end and year-end P2P processes
  • Driving on-time vendor payments and supporting accrual processes
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and VAT requirements
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements

Skills & Attributes:

  • Ideally 2- 3 years' experience in a reconciliation focused finance role
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes
  • Experience working in high-volume, KPI-driven environments
  • SAP experience (highly desirable)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of VAT and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing Direct Debits and complex supplier queries
  • A proactive, analytical and solutions-focused mindset
