Purchasing Coordinator

Purchasing Coordinator - Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Bolton
Salary: £22,000-27,000pa
A well-established design and manufacturing company are currently looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their Purchasing team based in their Bolton office. This is an exciting, full time, permanent opportunity for a candidate with a strong work ethic to join an award-winning company with a growing client base spanning the UK and overseas.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Raising purchase orders for suppliers, sub-contractors and service providers, and ensuring all purchase orders are reconciled in order to avoid discrepancies
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotes for specialist items, parts and products
  • Chasing deliveries to ensure orders are received on time, and recording any changes on the company system
  • Stock management, including regularly keeping track of stock in order to avoid unnecessary purchasing or stock shortages
  • Sending out supplier questionnaires and chasing for return of these with any relevant certifications
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders effectively
  • Ensuring the company system is kept up to date at all times
  • Occasionally assisting suppliers with drawing requests
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the business


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience within a similar role within Purchasing or similar
  • A confident communicator both written and verbal, and able to nurture relationships with key stakeholders and external suppliers effectively
  • IT literate and able to pick up new company systems quickly
  • Be hardworking, able to work on initiative and have a good sense of humour
