Payroll Clerk

Payroll Clerk

Based: Haydock area

Salary: highly dependent on experience

Our client is an industry-leading provider based in the Warrington area, serving thousands of customers throughout the UK every year. Continuing to grow substantially with new launches and acquisitions, we are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join the business working in a small, growingl team.

Role:

  • Accurate and timely delivery of payroll production for a large number of UK employees
  • Calculating and checking payroll transactions ensuring all staff are paid correctly and on time
  • Calculating SMP, SPP, SSP, SHPP
  • Working closely with Department Managers & HR dealing with any queries
  • Managing pension auto-enrolment and attachment of earnings
  • Manual calculations of employees pay, National Insurance & Tax
  • Maintaining accurate P11D records
  • Collating and verifying overtime data monthly ensuring correct authorisation
  • Reconciling payments monthly
  • Assisting on various system improvement projects when required

Experience:

  • Strong end to end payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and legislative requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong Excel skills
