Management Accountant

Management Accountant

Location: Cheadle

Salary: up to circa £45,000

We are currently working with an organisation who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join the team, based in Cheadle. As a Senior Accountant, the successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the Finance Officers and Head of Finance to deliver and maintain an efficient, effective and accurate accounting system, to therefore provide accurate monthly management information and annual audited Financial Statements. You will also maintain all associated internal controls, policies and procedures in line with Accounting Regulations and associated legislation.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Creating and analysing weekly and monthly financial reports, including cash-flow, budgets, and forecasts
  • Conducting monthly review of all management accounts and respond to stakeholder department enquiries
  • Preparing end-of-year financial statements as a basis for the annual audit
  • Managing the relationships with third party providers and auditors
  • Preparing stakeholder reports
  • Providing any necessary accounting updates to stakeholder departments
  • Developing robust financial controls within the finance function
  • Support with Month End & Year End Accounts closing and external audit
  • Successfully ensure that any income is accounted for appropriately

The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally have an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or working towards
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working as an Accountant
  • Experience working in the charity sector is highly desirable
