Financial Controller

Financial Controller

Based: Preston

Salary: circa £70k dependent on experience plus benefits

Opportunity:

This global specialist manufacturing company is looking to recruit a Financial Controller who will report directly into the MD and playing a pivotal role in the day to day success of the business.

Role:

  • Streamline financial reporting processes to reduce the overall reporting timeline
  • Develop and manage the Europe budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Implement cost control measures to optimise expenses
  • Optimise cash flow to support operations and growth
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organisation's financial strategy
  • Create and develop regulatory compliance strategies across all Europe offices.
  • Lead the management of transfer pricing reporting and overseeing corporate taxation duties
  • Evaluate capital projects and provide protection of capital and safeguarding of assets by reduction of risks
  • Responsible for matters related to banking negotiations, investment of funds, taxation policies and development of management accounting systems and controls
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to the finance teams in the UK, France, and Germany
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives. Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the respective regions
  • Oversee the preparation of accuracy of timely financial reports for stakeholders
  • Provide insightful commentary on financial performance and variances to the stakeholders
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and

Experience:

  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Manufacturing/Engineering experience essential
  • Understanding of international financial regulations and compliance requirements in either France, Germany, or the Middle East with the willingness to learn the other regional requirements within an agreed timeframe
  • Proven experience as a Finance Controller overseeing multiple regions
  • Experience with financial modelling and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
