Credit Controller

Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Blackburn

Salary: Up to £27k

Our client, a Blackburn-based service business, are looking for a new Credit Controller to join their team due to a period of growth within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Proactively chase overdue invoices by phone, email, and letter.
  • Negotiate payment plans and terms with customers to secure timely payments.
  • Resolve queries and disputes related to invoices and accounts receivable.
  • Monitor credit limits and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
  • Work closely with the sales and finance teams to resolve customer issues and improve cash flow.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in credit control or a similar role is essential.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
