Management Accountant

Management Accountant

Based: Blackpool

Salary: circa £35k dependent on experience plus benefits

Opportunity:

This exciting high growth business with multiple divisions is looking to strengthen their finance function initially on a 6 month contract basis.

Role:

  • Maintain monthly management accounts
  • Day-to-day transactional accounting
  • Daily reconciliations of all banks
  • Accurate intercompany transactions and reconciliations in real time
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
  • Provide financial analysis as needed, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Production of annual budgets in association with department heads.
  • Update forecasts for businesses in line with business performance.
  • Finance partnering with members of the Business Management teams.
  • Process payroll in a timely manner, in liaison with HR and managers from both business entities.
  • Management of the finance processes within the entities.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Coordinate with HMRC as required.

Experience:

  • A self-motivated individual with excellent organisational skills is required and an ability to work to deadlines and targets is paramount.
  • An experienced Management Accountant, with 5+ years /of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Strong soft skills, the importance of teamwork both within the finance team and external to it cannot be overemphasized.
  • Excellent people and time management skills will be required to facilitate the forward momentum of a growing business
