Legal Cashier

Role: Legal Cashier
Location: Manchester (Full Remote Working Available and Flexible Hours)
Salary: 19,000 - 22,000 Depending on Experience

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading solicitors on a 6 month basis - with the potential for permanent work. We are looking for a detail focused legal cashier to join a dedicated team of 5 who work collaboratively despite working from home.
This role is ideal for an immediately available candidate / someone who is open to contractual work, with completely flexible starting and finishing times. Our client trusts their employees to get the job done (and well), providing full autonomy and a great work-life balance. Additional perks also include 25 days holiday per year plus statutory bank holidays.
Our client actively encourages home working where possible, however there is the opportunity of office working for candidates who require it - being located in north-west Manchester.
An ideal candidate will have existing experience within a cashiering role of 1 year or more and the ability to work with accuracy at fast pace. Additionally, systems knowledge of SOS is also preferable, although by no means essential. You will report to a friendly and supportive team leader who will ensure all necessary systems training is provided.
Responsibilities include:

  • Processing high volumes of billings into the company in a timely manner with high accuracy
  • Processing the banking daily
  • Processing all Bills/Credit Notes/Write Offs
  • Posting Disbursements to the relevant ledgers
  • Processing daily client to office transfers thoroughly and by enquiring with fee earners
  • Posting outgoing monies through the electronic payments system
  • Processing BACs

  • Great attention to detail and pace - being able to hit regular team targets
  • Personable character and strong communication skills over the phone and email.

Any cashiering experience is highly valued in this position, enabling you to hit the ground running and to quickly progress into the role. There may be the opportunity for a permanent placement for the right team member, also making this a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work towards a permanent placement.
