We are thrilled to announce the appointment of our first Non-Exec Director, Chris Brindley. Chris has held some high-profile roles at companies including British Gas, NatWest and his most recent being Managing Director at the challenger bank, Metrobank. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will undoubtedly elevate Four and continue supporting our growth strategy.
I first met Chris during one of Sedulo’s Be the Standard leadership sessions. After what can only be described as a business masterclass I was so inspired that I thought ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get’. I arranged a coffee with him and straight away there was a great match.
With 69% turnover increase in 2021 and 39% increase in 2022, Four has experienced huge growth over the last two years. To achieve this we have implemented a number of enhancements to the business in that time. We invested in marketing, developed a clearly defined sales strategy, introduced a L&D manager, I stepped up to become Managing Director, we implemented new commercials, created new divisions and opened a Manchester office. So, it’s fair to say we’ve been pretty busy.
We have a strong network of advisors that we have utilised in the past to call upon for advice. However, in order to grow and take the business to the next level, we recognised the need to strengthen our board. Now feels like the right time to bring on a skill set which not only complements our existing management team but will allow us to refine Four and set our sights on new opportunities for business growth.
After working with us on a consultancy basis for six months, Chris now officially joins Four as our Non-Exec Director. Chris will be supporting us in several areas, with a focus on; sales strategy, marketing, new revenue streams and helping to develop our people. He recently delivered a keynote speech to the entire company and is offering individualised guidance and advice which is a fantastic learning opportunity for anyone at Four.
We’re so excited to welcome Chris to our board of directors. Having worked with Chris for the last six months in a consultant capacity it became clear how much value he could add given the breadth of roles he’s held. That combined with his empathetic, human side felt like a great culture fit for Four. We feel really fortunate to have someone with his track record involved with Four and are looking forward to the future of the business.
