Administrator

A manufacturing organisation based in Manchester are seeking an Administrator to join their team, initially on a 6 month FTC however this role could potentially be extended/ last longer. This role is paying £19,000pa (pro rata) and the client is ideally looking to move quickly on this role, with the plan to make an offer before close of play next week.
Within your role as Administrator, you will be responsible for the ordering of components, processing orders through the system and supporting the Purchasing Manager. Please see below the key duties of the role:

  • Obtain quotations from approved suppliers
  • Timely conversion of requisitions to Purchase Orders, review requisitions and consolidate where possible
  • Work in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager to identify and materialise savings
  • Liaise with planning and design regarding part isues
  • Working alongside the Manager to support with projects and tasks
  • General administrative duties
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders via a number of communication channels


To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous administration experience
  • You must be able to work using your own initiative, but also collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident in your own skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise your own workload
  • Confident using Microsoft packages including excel


In return, you will receive the benefits/ package:

  • Salary of £19,000pa (pro rata)
  • Guaranteed 6 month FTC however this could last longer/ be extended
  • The chance to expand your skills within a well-established organisation
  • 25 days holiday (pro-rate - 12.5 days for the 6 month contract)
  • Onsite parking
  • Great pension - 3.5% employer contribution
  • After successful probation you can work 1 day at home
  • Great working hours - Monday to Wednesday 8.30am-4.30pm, 4pm finish on a Thursday and a 3.30pm finish on a Friday
  • Great training and onsite support
