Group Finance Manager - Interim

Based: Whitefield, Manchester

Salary: highly dependent on experience. Looking for a qualified Accountant with strong business partnering experience who can hit the ground running

Our client is a UK leading food manufacturing business based in Manchester who are a supplier to all the top UK supermarkets, food retailers, foodservice and hospitality industry. With a large number of business acquisitions across the UK in the last 10 years, the business has grown to a multi-million pound group that continues to grow and requires the support of a Group Finance Manager to work closely with various business units to drive EBITDA growth and manage cash efficiency

This is an exciting opportunity with a growing business who are well known in their industry!

Role:

  • Business partnering with internal departments including Supply Chain & Purchasing
  • Analysing financial reports to provide analysis and decision support to the teams and wider business
  • Responsible for financial reporting (weekly & monthly) with insightful commentary on performance supported by detailed variance analysis to drive business performance
  • Partnering with key internal teams to improve business processes ensuring departments understand key cost drivers and agree value add actions
  • Working closely with teams to assess financial implications of decisions in terms of stock/distribution and supplier payment terms
  • Detailed accountability for performance, forecasting and decision making across all strategic projects
  • Lead business planning cycles (budget & quarterly forecasting)
  • Developing working capital reporting and forecasting across the group
  • Assisting with supply chain costing for NPD
  • Ensuring alignment between financial reporting and business reporting tool (PowerBI)
  • Building strong relationships across various sites

Experience:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified with post qualification experience
  • Experience from FMCG, Supply Chain or Manufacturing highly desirable but not essential
  • Strong reporting, financial control and cash efficiency experience essential
  • Proven business partnering experience, able to build relationsips with peers and seniors across multiple sites - essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and a team player who can work in a fast paced environment
