Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Based: Blackburn

Salary: dependent on experience, excellent benefits including private healthcare (you and family), 28 days holiday + chance to increase to 40 days holiday with overtime, pension, free parking and much more

39 hour working week with shifts only between 7am-6pm Monday to Friday

Our client is a rapidly expanding, award winning business based in the heart of Lancashire. Hugely well-known for their services and products across the UK, they also have a large international presence supplying products to businesses around the world. The business is growing year on year with huge plans for the near future, we are looking for a competent and forward-thinking Warehouse Manager to join the team

Role:

  • Organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of products to customers in order to satisfy and meet customer demand
  • Leading a team of 10-15 staff including holding reviews, 1-1's and coaching & development
  • Accountable for creating best working practices to achieve KPI delivery
  • Responsible for all goods in and out ensuring things are recorded correctly and traceable
  • Assisting with recruitment and induction of new team members
  • Co-ordinating with internal and external teams to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Stock control and conducting regular stock audits
  • Implementing quality control whilst challenging current processes to improve on deliverables across packaging, dispatch and receipt of goods
  • Accountable for import and export procedures ensuring completion of required documents
  • Adhering to health & safety requirements

Experience:

  • Proven record in carrier co-ordination and supervising activities within a warehouse
  • Strong team manager with experience of 1-1's and developing/training staff
  • Self-starter who wants to grow with the company
  • Able to streamline processes and implement new to increase efficiencies
  • Experience of goods in and out is essential
  • Export/Import knowledge would be highly beneficial but not essential
