Treasury Accountant

Based: Preston

Our client is a fast progressing, growing, successful business based in Lancashire. Successfully placing 3 staff members with them this year to assist with their growth/transformation plans they are an excellent business to work for. This role will be sat within the treasury team offering effective treasury management across the group in all accounting processes. Role will include month end analysis and commentary, reporting and year-end relating to treasury.

Role:

  • Budgeting, Forecasting, & Treasury Reporting
  • Support preparation of subsidiary Board reports in line with scheduled reporting timelines
  • Ensure accurate and timely input of accounting of Treasury items, including mark-to market revaluation of derivatives
  • Ensure accounting of financial instrument and associated notes are prepared in accordance with relevant accounting conventions (IFRS 9), minimising volatility in the financial statements
  • Ensure correct capitalisation of interest and report commentary on any variance
  • Loan covenant monitoring
  • Medium to long term cashflow forecasting
  • Support the Treasury Manager with Year-End and any queries from external/internal audit and Regulator of Social Housing.
  • Proactively contribute to efficiency and process improvements in treasury operations through systems and greater integration across various integrated platforms
  • Support finance meetings with external funders and requests pertaining to financing requirements

Experience:

  • Fully CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant or finalist
  • Previous treasury experience is essential
  • Experience of financial controls, year-end preparation and audit liaison.
  • Enjoy working in a challenging, fast paced business
  • Agile to work on new projects internally ad-hoc
