Supply Chain Coordinator

Preston based - Hybrid possible for the right candidate

Salary - up to £40k

Leading and established Online Retail and Ecommerce business based in Preston, Lancashire are looking to secure an experienced Supply Chain professional to join their growing team.

With a turnover of c.£16m and growing! The business are looking to improve their Supply Chain by recruiting a talented and dynamic individual to continually improve and streamline the purchasing function. In addition to manage the production/inventory planning on our on-site packing operation. This is a great opportunity for someone to make a real impact in a growing company.

Role & Responsibility

  • Ensure the correct scheduling and procurement of products of both finished goods and raw materials sourced from the UK and globally.
  • Ensuring demand schedules are aligned to meet sales forecasts and planned promotional activity.
  • Creating, placing and chasing supplier purchase orders on SAP to meet demand requirements.
  • Delivery Scheduling; Liaising with the distribution team and suppliers to manage the flow of inbound deliveries of container arrivals to meet logistical and demand requirements.
  • Production planning for small on-site packing operation of raw materials into various packaging sizes.
  • KPI reporting on inventory and availability levels
  • Provide weekly/daily reports to the business regarding the stock availability situation.
  • Identify excess and obsolete inventory

  • Proven Demand Planning & Forecasting experience
  • ERP knowledge, use of SAP Business One would be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong analytical skills set
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude
  • Highly adaptable to change, demonstrating a proactive approach
