Strategy and Transformational Director

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: ManchesterSalary: £100000 - £120000 per annum + bonus and shares

A technology led life sciences company are looking to recruit a Strategy and Transformation Director. Experience in managing change programmes that include technology products is preferable.

The role will be UK Based, there will be a requirement to travel internationally occasionally, presence in their UK HQ Manchester will be needed regularly. My client will consider this on both a permanent and fixed term contract basis.

As Transformation Programme Director you will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for day-to-day leadership of the transformation programme, working closely with the Executive team involving multiple business functions and impacting multiple locations (UK, US, Middle East)
  • Oversee the development, management and adherence to an integrated programme plan
  • Lead multiple programmes and support project managers in the design and implementation phases
  • Oversee the preparation, review and reporting of project progress against agreed milestones; and achievement of benefits against strategy-driven targets
  • Hold the business to account for delivery of agreed initiatives/outputs
  • Ensure the development of effective communication plans that addresses all key stakeholders
  • Identify and calls out emerging risks and potential roadblocks to successful implementation
  • Review strategic direction at regular intervals and propose course-correcting actions where appropriate

To apply for this role you must have the following:

  • Significant and proven experience leading multi-function, multi-locational transformation programmes, with high complexity
  • Strong understanding and application of change management competencies
  • Effective leadership, coordination, motivation, negotiation and dispute resolution skills, working at C-suite level with clients and internally
  • Strong financial literacy to forecast and manage programme, project and departmental budgets, costs and revenue
  • Ability to influence and build productive relationships with key programme stakeholders (both internal and external) at C-suite level; able to work globally across different cultures
  • The role holder is likely to be degree qualified, preferably with a Masters/MBA and with appropriate professional qualifications / experience in Programme/Transformation Management
  • SAAS/Software experience would also be of significant benefit
