Stock Controller

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: Greater ManchesterSalary: £25000 - £28000 per annum

My client are a family owned business who pride themselves in being a leading manufacturer, retailer and reseller, with a worldwide recognised brand. They are looking for an experienced stock controller to come and join their team based at their head office in Greater Manchester.

What you will be doing?

As stock controller you will need to have the appetite to drive processes forward, having an impact and making a real difference. Your primary accountabilities will be to manage the stock control system, rectify miscalculations, review and analyse the results of operations, in addition to project work. Other responsibilities will also include:

  • Maintain and update stock records - correcting stock and proposing changes to BOM
  • Develop and implement efficient stock management procedures
  • Record and reconcile stock discrepancies
  • Implement and maintain stock loss prevention program
  • Communicate any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary
  • Prepare a list of depleted products and a survey of unusable products
  • Liaise with Warehouse & Distribution teams regarding transport arrangements and schedules
  • Driving projects forward to create efficiencies for the business

This role is one of the most important positions in the business to assist in driving efficiencies, so it is key that the successful candidate has the confidence and ability to engage with all stakeholders and the appetite to make a real difference. In addition to:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Good level of Excel and Microsoft office
  • Working knowledge and experience on stock systems
  • Capacity to work under pressure and in a fast moving environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
