Stock Control Supervisor

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: PrestonSalary: £23000 - £27000 per annum

A growing online retailer - the biggest in the UK for their product range is looking to bring into their team a Stock Control Supervisor . My client are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment and continuously seeks to improve processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who really wants to make an impact and add immediate value to a growing company,

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Leading a team of four
  • Preparing goods in documentation & stock labels
  • Accepting stock onto the system from suppliers
  • Liaising with suppliers over shortages, damages, returns etc
  • Stock transfers and other stock adjustments
  • Stock movement adjustments - Goods issue / Goods receipt
  • Stock checking - Bulk & Pick face
  • Warehouse labelling / relabelling
  • Maintaining pick locations - Bin / de-bin ensuring suitable size for demand
  • Cycle counts & stock adjustments
  • Locating missing stock & investigating picking errors to support the pick & pack operation
  • Investigating stock related customer queries
  • Co-ordinating deliveries for intake, monitoring space requirements
  • KPI reporting / Stock loss, gains & replenishment levels
  • Planning and leading stocktakes

Key skills and attributes?

  • 2+ years working as a stock controller
  • Familiar with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel is essential
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work well on your own initiative or as part of a team
  • Team leader experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage in pressured situations
  • Attention to detail with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, accuracy is critical
  • Technically minded with a proven track record of working meticulously & accurately
  • Self-motivated and team oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
