Software Business Analyst

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: BoltonSalary: £32000 - £38000 per annum

I am currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join a fast-growing innovative technology business based in Bolton. My client are looking for a strong business analyst with excellent communication skills. Some of the things that you will get involved in will include:

  • Delivering new products, services and functionality solution analysis to the development teams
  • Working with developers to provide an understanding of the impact of change requirements
  • Liaising with product owners to provide recommendations
  • Providing documentation support for requirements gathering including process analysis, gap analysis, design of new functionality and product testing
  • Participating in project walkthroughs including business requirements gathering, UI and UX design, functional test plans and implementation planning
  • Creating of 'user stories' with appropriate technical detail and acceptance criteria
  • Creation of test plans for work undertaken and assist in the testing of developed work
  • Managing written communications between stakeholders and internal business units
  • Managing and maintaining content management, control processes and tools

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience of working in the energy or utilities sector
  • Demonstrable technical analysis skills around the ability to turn user requests into specification documents for the development team
  • Understanding of software development methodologies including Agile
  • Strong communication skills able to communicate clearly, effectively and in a timely manner with multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Business Process Methodology
  • Demonstrable analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrable ability to identify and document solutions to complex business problems with accuracy
  • Ability to work on their own and take independent action, going beyond what the project or situation requires
  • Provide attention to detail in a fast-moving environment
  • Provide strong customer relationship skills and conflict resolution
  • Having previous development experience would be considered an advantage
