Senior Procurement Officer

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: PrestonSalary: £35000 - £39000 per annum

My client works in partnerships with other organisations in order to deliver a trusted service to the community. My client is looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Officer to come and join their team based in Lancashire.

What will you be doing?

Reporting into the Head of Procurement the role and responsibilities for the Senior Procurement Officer include:

  • Deputising for the Head of Procurement
  • Supporting the Head of Procurement with developing policies, strategy development and procurement changes as required
  • Directly providing a range of services relating to the procurement of goods, services and works.
  • Undertaking procurement and tender activity in line with EU/Public Contracts Regulations, including all amendments and subsequent changes following Brexit
  • Day-to-day management of the team across the Department
  • Ensuring a 'best value' procurement environment, including ongoing contract management supporting Corporate Plans
  • Providing commercial / procurement advice
  • Produce quality reports to assist in overall planning
  • Training of the team both inside and outside of the Department
  • Supporting Regional and National collaborations

Who would this role suit?

  • Is MCIPS qualified
