Senior Management Accountant
Based: Tameside area
Salary: circa £45-55k, car allowance, bonus, private healthcare, 25 days holiday rising to 28 and excellent opportunities
Hybrid working, hours typically 8am-4.30pm with flex
Our client is a UK leading manufacturing and wholesale business based in the Tameside area. The business are part of a global group recognised in over 100 countries worldwide, this role sits within the UK business consisting of 3 companies acting as number 2 to the Finance Director
The business are continuing to grow, looking at future acquisitions so this role would be an exciting opportunity for a qualified Accountant who wants broad exposure in a number 2 role. Fantastic opportunity to grow to Financial Controller within 12-18 months and work on numerous group strategic projects alongside the FC
Role:
- Management and control of the finance team on day to day activities
- Work with the FD to manage the cash flow requirement of the company and group
- Preparation of the monthly financial reporting for UK Group of companies
- Posting accruals and prepayments, stock reconciliations, expenses recharges to group
- Reconciliation of sales and purchase ledger
- Responsible for the monthly reporting of company and group performance to directors and other stakeholders
- Production of annual statutory accounts for the UK entities
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, working with department heads on ad-hoc projects
- Review the business operation and identify areas for improvement
- Deal with the companies tax compliance requirement both UK and international
- First POC for external auditors and tax advisors
- Production of the UK company statutory accounts
Experience:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Team management experience highly desirable
- Wholesale/manufacturing experience desirable but not essential
- Hands on approach, energetic and enthusiastic to drive business forward
- Year end/audit experience essential
- Strong Excel skills
