Senior Group Accountant EMEA

Senior Group Accountant

Based: Manchester (1 day office, 4 days home or flex to suit)

Salary: highly dependent on experience, bonus, company shares from day one, private healthcare, enhanced pension and excellent opportunities

Our client is a hugely progressive, Private Equity backed tech/SAAS business based in the centre of Manchester. The company have rapidly expanded since their inception now operating with 7 global offices and around 200+ staff in 4 countries. Growing 50% year on year and with plans to build towards a potential IPO in the next 2-3 years, this is an exciting opportunity for a progressive Accountant keen to join a business offering the chance to develop your career quickly and progress quickly in the next 2 years to a UK Finance Manager role or further.

We are looking for a qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/ACCA qualified practice trained with experience in industry OR strong CIMA Accountant with USGAAP and technical proficiency

Role:

  • Managing monthly accounting functions and general ledger close
  • Variance analysis and reporting across various countries
  • Responsible for tax, VAT and governmental reporting requirements for multiple, global subsidiaries
  • Monthly general ledger close for EMEA subsidiaries including software capitalisation and tax returns
  • Assisting with annual audit an annual accounts production utilising local GAAP standards for the UK, US, Germany and Spain
  • Working closely with the Global FC setting up new subsidiaries due to global growth, bringing them into the group function
  • Account reconciliations, journal entries and other month end duties
  • Acting as a POC for all accounting related questions on local GAAP, taxation and financial compliance
  • Providing advice and collaborating with wider teams across EMEA including marketing, sales, FP&A in order to create new processes and drive improvement

Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant either CIMA with strong financial accounting background or ACA/ACCA practice trained with industry experience
  • UKGAAP and USGAAP knowledge highly beneficial
  • Exposure to a public or group business structure beneficial
  • Able to work within a fast moving, progressive business
