Senior Finance Assistant (full time or 32 hours)

Senior Finance Assistant

Based: Home based with ad-hoc travel to Manchester (once a month and for initial week training)

Full time OR part time hours considered (32 hours over 5 days). Flexible start and finish time

Our client is a rapidly expanding SME with exciting plans to continue growing. The business are a service provider who pride themselves on excellent customer service through their in depth consultative approach with their clients. Known throughout the UK and through their European partners they are well respected in their industry and have been hugely successful in the last 8 years, tripling turnover in the last 12 months with exciting plans for the future

Role:

  • Reporting to the Head of Finance
  • Finance process and reporting, assisting with financial reporting daily, monthly, quarterly and annually across the business
  • Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
  • Working with the Head of Finance to ensure KPI's and finance performance measures are in place
  • Cash & working capital - ensuring credit control processes are in place and minimising customer debtor days
  • Ensuring timesheets are up to date and submitted on time, reconciling attendance report
  • Creating client invoices weekly, monthly - dealing with queries when required
  • Balance sheet reconciliation - maintaining monthly balance sheet
  • Finance journals, posting monthly journals, accruals, prepayments in Xero
  • VAT receipts for credit card payments and direct debits
  • Creating sales invoices, bank reconciliations and bank payments through online bank
  • Ad hoc finance projects supporting when required

Experience:

  • Experience working in an SME with exposure to management accounts and the above duties
  • Ability to work from home independently, confident in your experience and self-motivation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Xero would be highly beneficial but not essential as training can be given
