Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller and are offering a competitive salary of up to £30,000 in Salford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking to progress within their career as a senior credit controller.
Your role is to maximise debt collection and to keep to a minimum any risk to the business in terms of bad debt. You must ensure that company polices and procedures are adhered to at all times and proactively work with management.
You must have at least 3 years' experience within a similar position.
What does the role involve?
Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, your role will be to manage high volumes of debtors and bring down aged debt. This is a fast-paced role and involves building rapport with clients and supporting the wider finance function.
Responsibilities include:
- Sending invoices and credits daily along with monthly statements
- Banking and bank account reconciliation
- Working with an invoice financing system and reconciliations of accounts.
- Credit checking all orders
- Debt Chase via telephone
- Invoice, account and returns queries
- Credit risk checking and open new accounts
- Credit limit monitoring and updating
- Weekly and monthly reporting duties including checking and issuing aged debtors reports.
- Ad hoc duties and cover for returns assistant.
Who would be the right fit?
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail
- To be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent telephone manner and confidence
- Must be dynamic and proactive
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload
- Excellent ability to use initiative, problem solve and resolve issues
