Purchase Ledger & Payroll Manager

Based: Bacup area

Salary: up to £40k dependent on experience, bonus + benefits

Our client is a well-established, leading business based in Bacup. The company are known in the area and provide products and services throughout the UK. A stable company offering long term career options, we are now looking for a Purchase Ledger Manager to join the team, this role will also be looking after weekly payroll - experience in this would be beneficial but not essential

Role:

  • Managing 2 staff in Accounts Payable and Finance
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller and MD with monthly reports
  • Responsible for the Purchase Ledger, processing up to 1200 invoices monthly
  • Managing supplier accounts, dealing with escalated queries
  • Month end ledger close and reporting to the Financial Controller
  • Supplier payment runs - actioning and supervising
  • Managing weekly payroll for 250 staff - monitoring shift patterns, overtime and bonus payments

Experience:

  • Strong Purchase Ledger experience is essential
  • Experience managing a team
  • Payroll experience would be desirable but can be trained
  • Strong Excel and IT skills
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
